The European energy market is moving decisively towards a stage marked by concentration, professionalization and greater structural demands. In this scenario, where scale is no longer sufficient without operational rigor and a long-term vision, Urus Europa Global has closed the acquisition of SC Petroli SpA, one of the companies with the longest track record in the fuel sector in southern Italy. The operation, executed with a technical and discreet profile, is considered by analysts and operators to be one of the most relevant in the 2025 financial year within the Italian energy sector. Beyond the volume of the transaction, the integration reflects a growing trend in the sector: the consolidation of business projects that prioritize real assets, solid structures and execution capacity over accelerated expansion models. In this context, the incorporation of SC Petroli reinforces the industrial position of Urus Europa Global in southern Europe and consolidates a project that is advancing at a firm and controlled pace.

A group in an advanced consolidation phase

Directed by the Spanish Jerónimo Tejada Martínez and the Italian Michele La Porta, Urus Europa Global has progressively positioned itself as a relevant player in the fuel sector thanks to a sustained growth model, supported by effective implementation in Spain, Italy and Portugal. Its strategy has been based on the construction of solid operational foundations, combining commercial flexibility with financial discipline and a clear long-term vocation. From left to right: David Torrens (delegate of Urus Europe Global), Michele La Porta, Jerónimo Tejada and Santiago Soto (delegate of Urus Europe Global). URUS EUROPAA unlike other projects that have opted for rapid expansion, Urus has prioritized the gradual integration of capabilities, the stability of commercial relationships and the control of each phase of growth. «Our approach has always been the same: move forward only when the previous step is fully consolidated. Growing without structure is a risk that we have never wanted to take,» explains Jerónimo Tejada Martínez. This approach has allowed the group to build a unique reputation within the sector: low media profile, but high-impact operations, recognized for their seriousness and strategic coherence. «In a sector like this, credibility is built with perseverance. Relevant operations do not need noise, they need rigor,» adds Michele La Porta.

SC Petroli: history, assets and territorial roots

The acquired company, SC Petroli SpA, represents one of the historical pillars of the fuel market in southern Italy. With more than six decades of business activity and fifteen years under its current legal form as a joint stock company, the company has maintained a prominent position thanks to prudent management, a strong territorial presence and its own industrial infrastructure.

In the last fiscal year, SC Petroli achieved a turnover of close to 60 million euros, supported by an operation based on tangible assets. It has fuel storage tanks, consolidated logistics facilities, a corporate office building linked to one of its operational centers – which will be expanded and modernized – and its own network of service stations currently in a phase of progressive growth. Its public share capital, set at two million euros, will be increased during the current year, strengthening its financial structure within the integration process into Urus Europa Global.

An integration designed to preserve value

Urus management emphasizes that the operation does not respond to a classic absorption approach, but rather to a gradual integration process designed to preserve the industrial, human and reputational value of SC Petroli. The agreement contemplates the maintenance of the workforce and management teams, as well as the selective incorporation of new professional profiles as new areas of activity are developed.Presentation of the purchase operation of SC Petroli, Christmas event of Urus Europa Global.URUS EUROPA «SC Petroli is not only a company with solid figures; it is an organization with identity, culture and knowledge of the territory. Our responsibility is to protect that and provide it with new tools for the future,» says La Porta. The integration also provides for a progressive optimization of internal processes, control systems and operational structures, always under criteria of efficiency and sustainability. At the corporate level, the company will operate under the name SC URUS, integrating the historical brand with the group’s identity and progressively unifying the image of service stations and industrial facilities.

Grow without losing control

Although due to business volume and assets, Urus Europa Global is beginning to position itself in a relevant business dimension, the company insists on maintaining an approach that it defines as “boutique.” A concept that, as explained by the management, is not linked to size, but to control, closeness in management and the preservation of quality in each strategic decision.

«Growing cannot mean losing control or diluting quality. We prefer to know exactly where we are and where we are going,» says Tejada Martínez. This philosophy translates into a policy of selective growth, where each operation is analyzed not only from a financial point of view, but also from its cultural, operational and human fit within the group. «A stone cabin is better than a straw castle. Solidity is the only thing that allows a project to last over time,» he adds.

Infrastructure, investment discipline and a long view

The acquisition of SC Petroli opens the door to new investment projects in infrastructure, although Urus insists that the immediate focus will continue to be the consolidation of results and the maximization of the potential of existing assets. In parallel, the group is advancing in the development of its own technological transformation program, fully financed by Urus Europa Global, whose presentation is scheduled for 2026 and which seeks to structurally improve the operational efficiency, intermediation and logistical processes of the sector.

A project with a vocation for permanence

With this operation, Urus Europa Global decisively reinforces its industrial base and its positioning in the European energy market, incorporating a company with history, real assets and public and audited figures. Far from marking a point of arrival, the integration of SC Petroli represents one more step within a project conceived with measured ambition, discipline and a vocation for permanence. In a sector that is as strategic as it is demanding, Urus is committed to growing without losing identity, to adding values without diluting them and to building from solidity. Because, as their management reminds us, the projects that last are not those that grow the fastest, but rather those that are built on foundations capable of withstanding the passage of time.
