In July 2022 Raúl Álvarez (León, 1970) lost his job at the age of 52. He lived one of those critical moments in which life confronts you at a crossroads: take a risk and double the bet or wait and see them come. He tested his options—telecommunication engineer, studies in artificial intelligence, experience in the defense industry—and one day inspiration struck. If algorithms become increasingly relevant on the battlefield, he thought, it will be almost impossible to hide.
