Guadalajara will not only host World Cup matches this summer (including a clash between Spain and the Uruguayan team on June 26). The Mexican city has been the site of a key event for an important industry in the national economy, such as construction. From April 14 to 16, the first edition of SICON, the International Construction Week, was held, a space designed to promote innovation and connect all the links in a sector that contributes 7% of the Mexican GDP and that will grow at an average rate of 2.6% annually until 2029, according to a study by Mexico Construction Industry.
