He admits that he would be perplexed if he discovered that an ecovidrio partner mixes the cardboard with the plastic when throwing the trash: «I would feel disappointed, but I would try to convince him of how important it is to recycle.» The director of Ecovidrio, José Manuel Núñez-Lagos (Barcelona, 63 years old), never gives up: whether an optimistic or pessimist about climate change, he believes that the best attitude is activism. Question. Do you like to travel? Answer. Very much, it is the way I disconnect. The last trip I have made is to Peru, and the previous one went to Uganda. I like to be in contact with nature, and if possible doing sports. Paradise is hiking in a distant country. Tell me a fetén route. I have done many! I would highlight all those that can be done in the natural parks of Asturias. In Somiedo, peaks, networks, put … is a wonderful area. A good leisure plan? R. I feel very lucky to live in Madrid. It allows me to walk or bike through the mountains, and, if time does not accompany, you can go to an exhibition. I always end up taking the snack with friends. Where? R. I really like the area of Doctor Castelo, Ponzano, Chamartín … I really like high table bars. A dream that has not fulfilled? R. Surely play a musical instrument. And another one who has achieved? R. Many of the media that I have run. Whenever you start one you don't know if you are going to get it. What do you think when it runs? I don't run with music, I like to hear what is happening around. It is something very similar to doing meditation, you don't think about many things, simply to keep breathing and step. How does stress carry? R. I get it better. Over the years I have learned to manage it through sport, meditation, with my friends and my wife or taking something in a bar. How many times do you consult your mobile per day? R. Unfortunately I think it catches me too much. I am aware that I should move it away. What applications are not missing? R. I do not use many: WhatsApp, email, wikiloc (routes) .p. What reads? Narrative, personal development issues. Now I am reading a book following an exhibition that I went to see Sebastião Salgado recently. His name is the earth. I am reading another environment called the inhospitable planet. From narrative the last one I read was a very dense book that I loved, I confess, by Jaume Cabré. I like authors such as Leonardo Padura, Héctor Abad Faciolince, Pierre Lemaitre's black novel … p. I would say that he is at a time of his life … r. Magnificent, sincerely. I am very good for health, I have spent a back operation that cost me a lot and I value how I am now. I have a relationship with my very stable wife, with two great children. What advice usually gives to young people. That they are activists in their day to day. That recycle, to use public transport. Things are achieved with the sum of small things. That are more sensitive and do small things so as not to spoil the planet. When you think about the future, what scares you? R. At the moment, the war escalation. More and more medium and long term I am worried about climate change and the planet we are leaving our children. You have to be an activist.
