Indra has closed with the Polish Ministry of Defence one of the «largest contracts for ground-based radars tendered in Europe this year»the Polish Arms Agency has indicated in a statement, by which it will implement up to 15 transportable systems for military and dual air traffic control in air bases throughout the national territory. The agreement signed with the Polish Arms Agency provides for the Delivery of the first eight systems by 2028, with an optional extension of seven additional systems by 2031. «To obtain it, Indra has competed with the most important international companies in the sector, demonstrating, once again, its position as One of the world's leading suppliers of military, civil and dual-use radarsand its ability to respond to the needs of the most modern armies,» the company assures. The primary radar that Indra will implement in the bases meets the requirements of the Polish Air Force and offers «top-level performance in determining the 3D position and trajectory of aircraft, even under the most difficult operating conditions.» Indra's solid-state system incorporates fully digital signal processing, and is capable of operating in environments with interference caused by topography, adverse weather conditions, countermeasures, or reflections caused by wind turbines.
