This new version of the consumer day is added to Cyber Day (May) and Cyber Monday (September), where companies also have their best discounts through their digital platforms and in a limited time. The South American country adopted Black Friday during the 2010s. Unlike the established custom of the United States, where the shopping day is reserved for the fourth Friday of the month of November, one day after Thanksgiving, Chilean Black Friday is extends for at least a whole weekend. The complete list of brands, products, services and companies participating in the consumer day is available on the event's official website.
Where to find the offers
Searching for offers on the Internet has been made easier in recent years thanks to the emergence of multiple platforms where consumers themselves share information to compare the value of products. These websites also allow you to know if the offers are real or if the discount is not preceded by a significant increase, which would reduce the credibility of the discount. The website Discounts Rata —one of the most recognized by Chilean buyers on social networks— and Knasta are two sites that allow you to find the most convenient prices.
The mediation system for consumers
The event will implement the “Online Resolution” system, developed by the CCS and its Arbitration and Mediation Center (CAM), which will allow the resolution of cases and concerns from clients to companies. The mechanism seeks for both actors to reach quick and efficient agreements in case of any difference at the time of the transaction. The mediation platform – to which more than 200 participating companies adhere – is available on its official website.
