A very clear approach to education, with commitment and discipline, but also quite settled in reality. And then the classmates were fantastic, the best thing about the commercial is the people who studied with me. Does labor forge character? R. The work for me has been many things: a way to meet fantastic people, grow professionally, learn a trade and be recognized for it. And at this stage it has been a way to direct a human team and an international project, which opens a very interesting perspective, allows you to have experiences with other cultures and peoples. That's very good. Ah and it has also allowed me to meet my wife, who is German. Now I understand why he defines his family nucleus as a German-Spanish biker. How did they meet? R. He came as responsible for the accounts of German investors, who were quite active in the real estate sector. This is already 18 or 20 years old, so it has been living in Spain for some time. We have two children, Neela and Daniel, and the two study at a German school. Has something of the German character hit? R. There are many topics about that. I think it is a culture with many compatibilities and synergies with the Spanish. We are very different, but we are compatible and we make good equipment. At least my experience has been like that. A moment ago he has talked about recognition. Do you feel professionally recognized? R. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to enjoy this work and these responsibilities. And I also feel recognized because when they give you responsibility, they give you recognition. Do you travel a lot for work? R. Since January I am responsible for the Latin American area and I also maintain the responsibility of Spain and Portugal, with which I travel regularly within the Iberian geography and every month and a half I make a journey through Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Chile. In any case, I think we all travel less, that idea has been lost a bit that the Executive had to be on a plane all day. Of course in our company it is like that and from what I see with my colleagues is quite widespread. Technology allows you to have more interaction without traveling. A good thing from Covid, Mira.P. Every year he makes a trip with his family to a new country. Do you have hired the trip for summer holidays? R. I have it closed because woman is German, with which we close it seven months before the date (laughs). It is true that we had to plan it because we go to Namibia and the Delta de Okavango. I go since I was two years old, that is, that is my parents' fault. It is the basis and stability, which gives meaning to many things of our life. My wife is a traveling companion and has also given me two wonderful children, who I think is one of the things that gives the human, its offspring. Do you practice digital disconnection with yourself and with your employees? R. I have to improve that a little. I do not do everything well I should. I try to be very respectful of people who do not work directly with me, but with whom we work more directly we may keep some more connected than it should. They also do it. I try to respect the weekend. In any case, people always have the possibility of not looking at the phone or answering later. Is this a pending subject? R. Well, I think this is a bit personal option, everyone decides. Maybe I leave a little for the end my time and the time of my family and I have to defend that balance. I carry it half well, but I think I can improve it a little. Does sports daily? R. I get up very soon and from 6 to 7 I do sports, basically gym; Then, breakfast with the family and I am almost always in the office at 8. I like sport a lot and I like to go out with friends and enjoy the Madrid mountain range. Is Bilbao a lot? R. Less than I would like. I try to go at least once every three months because, in addition, I have my parents there. Do you miss it? Have you considered returning? I have not considered returning to live, but there are always things that you miss. The good thing is that you have it very close. I carry it in my heart, but I don't think it comes back; The world has now grown for everyone and it is more likely that my children will end in New York or London than in Bilbao.p. Is there anything better than a pintxo? R. Man, richer, few things. I like many pintxos and I like what is done around taking a skewer, how to talk to friends. Surely there are equally good things, but that is an option that I like a lot. And between the txakoli, a riverbank and a river, which one stays? I keep a riverbank. He is a member of a literature club. What does reading provide and in which book is immersed? R. Reading gives me perspectives, knowledge, beauty and relaxation. Many things in one. And it is also an excuse to meet my club friends and be able to talk to them. We have read more than 150 books already. I usually read more than one book at the same time. Now I am rereading stellar moments in the history of humanity, by Stefan Zweig, which is a jewel. At the other extreme I am reading one about how to compete in the era of artificial intelligence. Do you worry artificial intelligence? R. I would say that I am passionate. There is a part of attraction and also a bit of fear of how it can evolve. But I always get there with the positive part of passion more than the negative. Would you recommend any of your children to follow your professional steps? R. One of the best things we have is freedom, so I would recommend that you do what they enjoy very much and do good for others. Have you shown interest? R. They are small. It is difficult to understand the real estate sector from the outside for young people. My son tells us that we are doing the Santiago Bernabéu project management and that interests him a lot (laughs) .p. So you, fervent Athletic follower of Bilbao, and your son do not follow the same team? R. It has passed to Madrid, can you believe it? P. How was it? R. With nocturnity and alevosía (laughs). What is your aspiration? R. The aspiration is simple, is to look back and be proud. In the last third of life I would like to return to society everything that has given me, I feel lucky. And do so from the point of view of teaching, that I like, as from the point of view of social activities. Is the disease afraid and the passage of time? R. Health and education are two great pillars of the 21st century. Without health it is difficult to enjoy what surrounds us and without education it is sometimes very difficult to have that wealth that allows you to enjoy the details.
