ACS soars after Dragados wins a contract for the London Underground

ACS shares lead the increases in the Ibex 35 this Thursday (+5%) after it was learned that its subsidiary Dredged has been selected to perform improvements to two London Underground stations. According to the newspaper ‘Expansión’, Dragados is one of the three companies, along with Amey and Costain, that has entered into a framework contract for Transport for London (TfL)the public company that manages public transport in the British capital. The contract is to undertake improvements in two London Underground stations for a value of 840 million pounds (974 million euros).
The three firms will be responsible for improvement work at the London suburban stations of South Kensington and Elephant & Castle. These works will be carried out for a maximum of four years and refer to construction, electrical and mechanical installations and communications. It should be remembered that Dragados was already awarded works at the Elephant & Castle station at the end of 2024 for 200 million euros for the design and construction of new passenger tunnels with a length of 135 meters. Likewise, Dragados was also commissioned to renovate Bank station and a section of the Elizabeth Line.
