Prediction markets turn global trends into trading opportunities. At this time, the date on which this feature will be available has not been announced. Binance, the largest bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency exchange in the world, revealed today, March 31, that it is testing a prediction markets function within its application, in a new commitment to a sector that has been gaining prominence within the digital asset ecosystem. According to a frequently asked questions page published by the company itself, The functionality will be integrated into Binance Wallet through third-party providers, and its main partner at this stage is Predict.funa prediction markets protocol developed on the BNB Smart Chain network. Prediction markets allow users to position themselves on the outcome of real-world events, such as elections, sports competitions, cultural events, and other events. In this system, each possible outcome—for example, “yes” or “no”—is represented as a share whose price can move between $0.01 and $0.99, depending on the probability that the market collectively assigns it. According to Binance, users will need to create a specific account to operate these contracts. That account will be separate from the spot trading and fund accounts, and It will work with keyless technology from Binance Wallet.

The company also clarified that prediction markets services are not provided by its entities in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), but are offered through third-party aggregation. For now, Binance did not say when it will officially launch this feature or in which jurisdictions it will be available.

In fact, the company itself warns that prediction markets may not be enabled in all countries or regions. He also noted that, to view the “Prediction” option within the application, users must have the most recent version of the Binance App. In this context, a company spokesperson explained in dialogue with the press that this is a beta test to enable access within the app to on-chain prediction markets through an external integration. According to that explanation, The goal is to expand the range of tools available within the Binance Wallet.

The decision occurs in a context of growth in the sector. As CritpoNoticias has reported, other platforms in the ecosystem have already moved in the same direction. The American exchange Coinbase expanded its prediction market offering in the United States in January through an alliance with Kalshiwhile Crypto.com launched an independent platform called OG in February. The growth of the sector can be clearly seen in the monthly volume graph of prediction markets provided by on-chain analysis firm Dune Analytics. The stacked bars show how the total volume increased steadily from mid-2024 to exceed $20 billion per month in 2026. At the base, the green color corresponds to Kalshi, while the blue represents Polymarket, two of the main players in the segment. However, This segment also faces questions. On March 11, United States senators presented an initiative that seeks to prevent contracts linked to sports or casino-style games from being quoted on registered platforms, such as Polymarket. At the same time, operators such as Kalshi and Polymarket began to strengthen measures against market abuse, insider trading and manipulation. However, the truth is that Binance’s entry into this business reinforces the expansion of prediction markets within the industry.
