The venue for global trends

The success of an economy is measured, to a large extent, by its ability to concentrate investment and talent. Getting these two vectors together is more complicated than it seems. A great force of convocation and a unique appeal are required, something that characterizes Ifema Madrid, which has become a structural actor in the Spanish ecosystem and which faces a 2026 calendar full of great meetings. The entity relies on large driving fairs that concentrate business volume and driving capacity, while promoting new projects and reinforcing a sustained internationalization strategy. The 2026 calendar is a declaration of intent that combines large consolidated formats, sectoral diversification and foreign expansion, with special attention to the areas that will mark the economic agenda for the next decade. The year starts in January with PMG Promogift (from the 12th to the 14th), an event that acts as a meeting point between the promotional gift sector and corporate communication, increasingly linked to brand and loyalty strategies. The real milestone of the month will come with Fitur (from the 21st to the 25th), one of the great pillars of the consortium’s annual calendar and one of the most influential fairs in the world in its sector. Fitur —which this year will have Mexico as a partner country— is a space where public policies, private investment and territorial planning intersect. In a context marked by climate pressure, the digitalization of services and the redefinition of global traveler flows, the fair is consolidated as the ideal forum to anticipate the evolution of an industry that represents a substantial part of the GDP and employment in Spain. Then, in February, the intensity is maintained with the block dedicated to consumption and lifestyle, with Intergift, Bisutex and Momad (between the 4th and the 7th), which will turn the city into a thermometer of trends in decoration, jewelry and fashion, sectors that are especially sensitive to the pulse of consumption. But the strategic axis of the month is Sicur (from the 24th to the 27th), the institution’s oldest self-organized fair, active since 1980. Its relevance has grown at the same pace as global security challenges. Fire protection, occupational safety, emergencies and cybersecurity position this event as an essential platform for industries, administrations and critical operators. March displays one of the densest stretches of the calendar. ArcoMadrid (from 4 to 8) will once again place Madrid at the center of the international contemporary art market, with a capacity of attraction that transcends culture to impact sectors such as high-value tourism, hospitality or heritage investment. From the 11th to the 13th, Education Week transforms the venue into a large professional campus with a Classroom, the Postgraduate and Continuing Training Forum, Digielearning and Schools Day, which reflects the adaptation of the educational system to a labor market in constant transformation. In parallel, Expodental, Iberzoo Propet and Expomedes serve highly specialized sectors. MBFWMadrid (from the 17th to the 21st) reinforces the creative and industrial dimensions of Spanish fashion. The international projection of the month materializes with Fruit Attraction São Paulo (from the 24th to the 26th), the third edition of a fair that has managed to successfully replicate the Madrid model in Brazil, consolidating itself as one of the main fruit and vegetable platforms in Latin America. April combines continuity and expansion. Expoóptica+Audio (from the 9th to the 11th) and Antik Almoneda (from the 11th to the 19th) maintain their specialized audience, but the strategic focus is set by Sicon México (from the 14th to the 16th), a new project that celebrates its first edition in Guadalajara (Mexico) together with Expo Guadalajara. This premiere reinforces Ifema Madrid’s commitment to exporting its own formats and positioning itself as an exhibition partner in emerging markets. Cultural internationalization continues in May with ArcoLisboa (from the 28th to the 31st), an already consolidated event that reinforces the Iberian axis of contemporary art. June is emerging as one of the key months of the year. After the Used Vehicle Show (from the 2nd to the 7th), the strategic core is concentrated from the 9th to the 11th with Tecma, SRR and the Cities Forum, focused on urban sustainability, the circular economy and local governance. In this same framework, Global Mobility Call stands out, one of the great strategic projects of Ifema Madrid, conceived as an international platform to lead the debate on sustainable mobility, electrification and the decarbonization of transport. Added to this is Sociocare, a new project focused on the care economy, an increasingly relevant area due to demographic aging. The month closes with Motortec Chile (from the 18th to the 20th), the fifth edition of a fair already consolidated as a reference for the automotive sector in the Southern Cone.

Outdoor activity

International activity continues in August with ESS+ powered by Sicur (from the 26th to the 28th), in Bogotá, where the consortium reinforces the export of its security experience together with Pafyc and Corferias. September returns the spotlight to the Madrid venue with FIAA (from the 22nd to the 24th), Madridjoya (from the 24th to the 27th) and Estampa (from the 24th to the 27th), in addition to a new edition of MBFWMadrid. October is marked by Fruit Attraction (from the 6th to the 8th), one of the great crown jewels of the calendar. Become an essential event for the global fruit and vegetable chain, the fair has experienced sustained growth that positions it as a key platform for innovation, international trade and food security. Next, Guext (from the 15th to the 17th) reinforces its commitment to the service sector and the hospitality industry. November closes the year with a display of industrial muscle. Privel (from the 4th to the 5th) opens the month as a new project, followed by the International Construction Week (from the 10th to the 13th), a macro event that brings together Construtec, Veteco, Smart Doors and Piscimad, and that responds to the demand for comprehensive solutions in a sector in full transformation. Simo Educación and Salón Look are held in parallel, while Feriarte (from the 21st to the 29th) provides the cultural closing. The final touch comes with the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonization (from the 24th to the 26th), in which Genera and Matelec consolidate Madrid as one of the great European forums on energy transition and efficiency. The 2026 calendar goes beyond the mere occupation of square meters. It is an architecture of global networks that allows the Spanish capital to act as the main validator of the innovations that will dictate the pace of the markets.
