The announcement, made at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, represents tough competition for Elon Musk’s company. And this strategic agreement will focus on allowing «humanoids to carry out a wide variety of industrial tasks«and is expected to become a driver of manufacturing transformation, starting with the automotive industry. The joint research effort, expected to begin in the coming months, will be carried out in both companies. «We are delighted to partner with the Google DeepMind team,» said Alberto Rodríguez, director of robotic behavior for Atlas at Boston Dynamics. «We are building the most capable humanoid in the world and we knew we needed a partner to help us establish new types of visual, linguistic and action models for these complex robots.
