The actions of Prosegur plummeted on the stock market this Wednesday by around 8%, to 1.61 euros, coinciding with the end of the partial Public Offer for the Acquisition of shares (OPA) formulated by Gubel, a company controlled by Helena Revoredo, who will control more than 73% of the company. The takeover bid has resulted in transaction of a total of 72,128,791 shares of the firm, representatives of a 13.23% of its capital, so it has finally remained below the 15% that the offer initially targeted, according to the information sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). After completing the operation on 72.12 million titles, Revoredo now controls more than 73% of the firm's capital. It was at the end of February when the CNMV gave its approval and authorized Helena Revoredo's takeover bid for 15% of Prosegur for 149 million euros. To guarantee the operation, the offeror has presented guarantees for 149,609,874.90 euros issued by six entities. In 2023, Prosegur registered a net profit of 66 million euros, a figure that represents 1.3% more compared to 2022. Looking to 2024, the company has anticipated «good growth expectations, with a focus on operational efficiency, which contributes to margin improvement and cash generation.»
