Cryptocurrency companies in Argentina and Latin America do not stop growing and they no longer only have a presence in the countries in which they were founded, but on a global scale, since it is an industry that offers technology without borders.

In this context, companies want to continue democratizing the use of cryptocurrencies and innovations such as blockchain, and to do so, they need to hire new talent.

The good news is that more and more collaborators decide to leave their traditional job and turn to this promising sector.

According to the salary platform Indeed, in the last two years job searches that mention blockchain, Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies increased more than 631%, which marks this clear trend.

And, as it is a relatively new segment, companies not only need specialized profiles in technology, such as programmers, developers and software engineers, but also designers, content creators, human resources specialists, marketing experts, lawyers, accountants , editors and more.

As a benefit to take the leap, companies such as Defiant Wallet, Status Network, Bitwage, Let’s Bit and Koibanx offer benefits that other segments do not have: globally scalable projects with a real impact on people, salaries in foreign currency, the possibility to work remotely, flexible hours and much more.

“Before, marketing, communication, press and legal positions were not as in demand in the crypto-blockchain-tech industry, but now companies need to establish more complex formats”, reflects Celina Nieman, co-CEO of Defiant Wallet, a wallet Custodial self that allows you to operate on different block chains and store money in a totally safe way.

Today, this firm is looking for developers, designers and project managers; and they offer dollar salaries, remote work and unlimited vacations.

“We hire people with no experience because we value their presence in the ecosystem. Those young people who want to work in crypto should have training in smart contracts, programming and Web 3.0”, Nieman points out.

“We give the possibility of charging in dollars or in cryptocurrencies and of working in a hybrid way. In addition, we always take applicants with different levels of seniority, because we do not consider it to be a barrier. However, there are profiles that are very difficult to achieve: for example, DevOps and UX/UI designers with a high level of seniority. Another highly sought after position is that of “community developer” or, in Spanish, community developer. This is a very young position that aims to maintain close contact between a project and the community”, says Pilar Rodríguez, HR & Talent Acquisition at Let’s Bit, one of the main exchanges in Argentina and Latin America that managed to stand out for integrating multiple blockchains and different cryptocurrencies.

On the other hand, at Bitwage, a firm that gives its users the freedom to get paid for their work abroad in the way that suits them best -either in crypto or in fiat currency- breaking geographical barriers, salaries can exceed USD 15,000 a month because they recognize that crypto profiles are “very hard to find.”

“The most difficult profiles to obtain are always those that involve very specific technical training, such as developers of Solidity, the language of smart contracts. Although the searches are mostly for technical profiles, this should not discourage those who do not have this type of skills, since there is also room for those with more human skills”, says Ulises Alzogaray, Country Manager of this company and adds that “In addition to these inflated salaries, many companies in search of this type of highly demanded profiles offer benefits that range from retirement, health insurance, extensive paid vacations, life insurance, dental and vision plans; and even collect their salary in cryptocurrencies or a percentage of equity (participations)”.

From Status Network, one of the pioneer companies in using Ethereum for its systems, they announce that they need from community managers with knowledge in social networks to smart contract security specialists who can audit the code and prevent vulnerabilities and security breaches.

“People with real experience in the crypto ecosystem are the hardest to find. This industry is relatively new and finding profiles with experience, and who have also worked on successful crypto projects is very difficult”, remarks Eduardo Erlo, marketing manager of said firm and considers that “all jobs in the segment are well paid”.

“Do you want to gain experience in this industry and enter the workforce? It is free and the best way is to contribute and help communities, become an ambassador of a protocol, participate in a DAO and go to events”, suggests Erlo.

Lastly, Koibanx is looking for developers who want to earn in local currency and dollars, work remotely, have weeks off, and seek to have equity from the firm, that is, actively participate in its culture through ownership of shares. The company is dedicated to financial tokenization and is expanding in Latin America and the world.

“It has gone very well for us incorporating junior profiles and trainees. What’s more: most of our employees had no background in blockchain or the crypto industry. At Koibanx we give equity to developers but not because there are few resources in the market, but because of our culture. We seek to empower and retain those who have provided value to the company, showing a high interest and sense of belonging. Our objective is to generate a mutual commitment with the collaborator and, obviously, it is compensated”, says Nicole Yerien, people Manager of the company and lists that they want to hire a finance expert, a customer care specialist and a technical sales engineer.

How to find a job in crypto?

To apply to these companies, you have to go to their official sites and in all cases, it is a requirement to have an updated LinkedIn profile.

However, it is always advisable to approach the ecosystem and actively participate in the communities, since this is a highly valued practice by companies in the sector, which are constantly hunting for new talent.
