Hashdex, the manager responsible for three cryptocurrency ETFs in Brazil and the first Bitcoin ETF in the world, announced that it is expanding its operations in the United States with the hiring of two new entrepreneurs.

Matthew Flood takes over as Head of Business Development-USA. Meanwhile, Jack Song will take over as Head of Corporate Communications and Head of Staff-US. Both leadership positions are newly created and aim to support the company’s operation on US soil.

According to the manager, to strengthen the team in the US, the head of global expansion Bruno Sousa will move to the country. He will focus on business development.

“As a market leader in Latin America, Hashdex has significant experience in fulfilling our mission to help people around the world better understand and gain diversified exposure to the cryptographic asset class,” said Marcelo Sampaio, Co-founder and CEO of Hashdex .

As highlighted by Hashdex, Flood will focus on expanding distribution in the US. In addition, it will focus on accessing fund products together with Hashdex partner Victory Capital.

Song will lead corporate communications and help scale operations, including the continued growth of the global team.

The action is part of the expansion of the company that has partnered with Nasdaq in the development of the Nasdaq Crypto IndexTM.

This index is the basis for Hashdex ETFs, including HASH11, the third largest ETF in Brazil by investors.

In June, Hashdex announced a partnership with Victory Capital, a manager with $162 billion in assets under management.

The first product resulting from the partnership was the Victory Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index Fund, a private fund for accredited investors.
