CryptoRave, an event focused on privacy and cryptography, takes place again after 3 years since its last edition.
CryptoRave is a cryptoparty with various activities related to privacy, cryptography and also themes of hacker culture. Due to the pandemic, CryptoRave has not happened for the last 3 years, but now it has returned.
The seventh edition of the event takes place just 10 years after the revelations of Edward Snowden, a former CIA agent who showed the world that the US government spied on its citizens and those of other countries unconstitutionally.
Using encryption software, much of which was promoted by the event, Snowden was able to publish secret documents securely and privately.
To promote the use of these software, CryptoRave is held openly and collectively, with lectures, workshops, round tables and artistic performances. The themes of the activities are varied and range from cryptography, privacy, anonymity, hacking to politics.
It will take place between the 5th and 6th of May in São Paulo, with 24 hours of activities. Registration is free.
