Binance has been experiencing strong instability in its platform since the beginning of this Friday afternoon (19). The problem even showed customers' balances to be zero.
On Twitter, the company's CEO, Changpeng Zao, said the problem is synchronization and was caused by AWS, Amazon's cloud service. “There is a problem with AWS affecting multiple exchanges. Binance is barely holding on, and we are having a cache sync issue for a small number of users. We're working on it, ”he said in the tweet.
Two hours later, Binance's official twitter announced that they were disabling withdrawals and deposits from all cryptocurrencies and that they were continuing to work to resolve them as quickly as possible.
Trading on the platform remains normal for users who already have funds.
