Meliá, Santander and Unicaja lead the third consecutive week of increases in the Ibex 35

Third consecutive week of gains for the Ibex 35which continues to demonstrate great technical strength in the heat of the abundant liquidity existing on the market, some favorable macroeconomic data and a less aggressive message than expected from the Federal Reserve. Thus, the Spanish index has gained 3.26% in these five sessions and is now trading at the gates of the 11,000 point resistance. In terms of values, the increases of these days have been led by Melia Hotelswhich has added 6.46% after announcing the return to dividend after canceling it in 2020. Along with the Balearic chain, at the top of the weekly classification have been the banks, thus extending his excellent recent streak. Specific, Santander has advanced 6.05% against the annual forecasts released by its president and after stating that will allocate more than 6,000 million to dividends and share buybacks charged to 2024.
Unicaja (+5.42%), CaixaBank (+5.27%), BBVA (+4.66%) and Sabadell (+4.43%) were other financial groups that have shone during the week. Likewise, it is worth mentioning Grifols, which, despite the volatility that the company is suffering on the stock market as a result of the doubts raised by its accounts, has gained 5.10%; already Redeia, Sacyr, Colonial, Mapfre and Merlin, titles all of which have risen more than 4%. NATURGY AND ACCIONA ENERGÍA LEAD THE CUTS On the contrary, Naturgy has been the 'red lantern' of the week in the Spanish selective after dropping 2.33%. The group, whose behavior in 2024 is being fateful, has lost the support of 20.66 euros, further complicating its graphic prospects.
Activate Energy (-1.57%), Action (-1.55%), Indra (-1.18%) and the swimming pool company Fluidra (-0.91%) were the other stocks that ended these days in negative territory.
