Fashion consultant Natasha Archer, 37, had never given interviews talking about her work as Kate Middleton’s wardrobe assistant until April 4, when she shared discreet tidbits from that stage with The Telegraph. It was her way of promoting the eponymous luxury fashion consultancy that opened in February of this year, a business that, she said, “offers a highly personalized service for people with really complex lives.” She certainly has experience in this, having advised the Princess of Wales herself between 2010 and 2025. «I learned a lot. It was about planning, being prepared, offering unconditional support to those around you, and my work has certainly evolved, but my standards remain the same,» she said about that time in the interview.Archer began her career working for the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester in 2007, before going on to work for Princes William and Henry at Clarence House. When William proposed to Kate Middleton in November 2010, making her an official member of the royal family, the fashion consultant began working exclusively for the couple. One of the traits that made her ideal for the position was her discretion. “I have built my reputation thanks to that discretion, and it is something I really want to maintain,” he explained to the British media. «I hope to grow, and I think it will be a gradual process, in which I will make sure to incorporate people who I am teaching my brand to. Everything is very new and I am using the skills that I have learned through my experience, and I am developing them,» he said.

The fashion advisor described working for the Princes of Wales as «an extraordinary privilege» that she holds «very fondly», but also acknowledged that she found it «frustrating»: «I am often called a stylist, and it is quite frustrating. My previous position and the services I now offer with my consultancy come with many other responsibilities.»Behind the scenes, according to The Telegraph, Archer was in charge of organizing the princes’ agenda and managing projects, in addition to serving as an advisor and confidant. However, what caught the attention of the press was seeing her helping the princess with her wardrobe, which led to her being referred to as Kate’s «stylist» at a time when her wardrobe choices were setting the tone for a new era of the monarchy – as well as providing a boost to British businesses. «I am not a traditional stylist, I take care of everything, including administrative support. I feel that it is a unique talent that I can contribute to specific people,» she claimed.Natasha Archer and María Teresa Turrión, nanny to the children of the Princes of Wales, upon their arrival at Warsaw airport for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s five-day tour of Poland and Germany, in July 2017. Archer is so discreet and elegant that she doesn’t even mention her past work on the website of her new business. Possibly, you don’t need it because your potential clients already know it. “With almost two decades of experience in private homes, our consultancy takes care of the details that make an impeccable appearance possible,” he promises in the section dedicated to his “mission.” In his interview with The Telegraph, he especially highlighted the “precision” with which he works. «Helping my clients understand where they are going is one of the main goals of my business. It’s everything: What ground will you be walking on? What will the temperature be? Will it be windy? Will you be sitting in a prominent place? Will you have to constantly get up and sit down to greet guests? Don’t wear linen clothes to an event where you’ll be sitting for hours… Knowing all of this makes them feel like they’re one step ahead,» she shared. Kate Middleton’s applauded and always high-profile stylistic successes in the last 15 years are proof of this and the best letter of introduction for Archer.
