On January 26, 2018, a group of cabin crew dressed in cargo pants and sneakers received the first 189 passengers who boarded the then only Boeing 737-800 of the Flybondi airline, a pioneer of the low-cost segment in Argentina. The proposal was clear from the chosen name, which alludes to the way Argentines informally call the bus (“bondi”). With its low rates and relaxed aesthetics, the company promised to make people travel who had never been on a plane before, something that was made explicit with the question before each takeoff: «Anyone traveling for the first time?
