Bankinter Investment and Plenium sell 351 MW of wind power to Galp for nearly 320 million

Bankinter Investment and Plenium Partners have agreed to the sale to Galp of a portfolio of 351 MW of wind assets operational in Spain, from alternative investment vehicles Helia II, Helia III and Helia IV for about 320 million eurosas reported by both the bank and Galp this Thursday. The operation involves completing the divestment of two of the Helia Renovables funds, Helia II and Helia III, in addition to including the only wind farm that remained in Helia IV, which will now focus exclusively on photovoltaic assets in Spain and Italy. The transferred portfolio is made up of 17 wind assets located in areas with high generation and with a track record of consolidated performance, with an average start date of operation in 2009. Bankinter Investment and Plenium Partners, partners since 2017, have recently approved the integration of its managersin an operation still subject to the approval of the regulatory authorities. The new joint platform is positioned as a relevant player in alternative investment in Europe, with around 14 billion euros in assets under management, more than 15,000 investors and a presence in 14 countries and 11 sectors, according to the bank. This integration reinforces its ability to lead direct investments in real assets and accelerate its expansion on the continent, especially in the field of renewable energies, he emphasizes.
