This five-seater car has been put up for sale with a price of 550,000 euros. The stock, which is listed on the Milan stock exchange and has fallen almost 27% in the last 12 months, suffers a new blow after the arrival on the market of the luxury car firm’s new model. And it seems that this electric car has not convinced investors. The CEO of Ferrari, Benedetto Vignadescribed the launch of the Luce model as a «very, very important day» for the company, symbolizing the beginning of «a new chapter» in its history. The manager spoke of «respect», which is the «key» to this new launch, with which the brand aims to satisfy new customers looking for an electric car, while still keeping in its sights the more traditional customers of Prancing Horse cars. «Respect for technology, because when a new technology is introduced, it is necessary to ensure that it is properly represented in the design, so the design must be different«said the CEO of Ferrari, in clear reference to the design of the new vehicle. Luce was a model highly anticipated by the market, but it has not been able to please investors despite its 1,050 horseswhich reaches the 100 km/h in 2.5 secondsto your autonomy greater than 530 kmand despite having a maximum speed exceeding 310 km/h. It has a «high level of systems integration guarantee typical performance of the brand, as well as a level of ease of use unprecedented in a Ferrari,» says the company, which also highlights other «innovations» of the car, in addition to the four electric traction motorssuch as «the electronically controlled active suspension and the four wheel steering«. «Advanced dynamic management, new regeneration and management systems, and a authentic and functional sound guarantee a totally immersive and consistent experience in any driving situation,» Ferrari points out in a note, pointing out that the touch controls«deeply immersive, they harness the best of the physical and the digital, combining elegant mechanical buttons, switches and rotary knobs with contextual and intuitive digital information.» Luce comes just as other luxury carmakers, notably Porsche and Lamborghini, have scaled back plans to launch their own electric vehicles due to weak demand.
